Hi there! My name is Analise Kumma. I am 16 years old and the oldest of three. I have a 14 year old sister and a 3 year old brother. I'm home schooled and attend Classical Conversations. I've been animal crazy pretty much my whole life. I've grown up with cats, dogs guinea pigs, and of course bunnies. Since I had been entering high school, I'd been thinking about what I wanted to do for a living/hobby. Bunny breeding had never really crossed my mind until recently. I had been considering being an author, artist dancer, singer... and lots more, but ultimately, I felt like breeding was something I truly felt called to do. My kitty Mabel had kittens when I was 7 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I felt like I wanted to experience that again and share my love of animals with others. (especially bunnies!) ♥ So I immediately started researching all I could about Hollands and breeding them and got to work! So far I have had an amazing journey. I bought my first breeding pair from Holly's Hollands Rabbitry on September 30th 2017 (Neville & Abigail!) Holly helped me with practically EVERYTHING. She was and is the most amazing blessing. She bred Abigail to her buck Otis to help me get started since little Neville still had some growing to do. Abby had a bit of a rocky pregnancy due to the stress put on her with moving her and what not. She gave birth to two still borns on 10/28/17. I learned amazing lessons from that experience. I adore my rabbits and do my very best give them the care and attention that they deserve. I don't breed for the money in fact I breed to breed quality, bring joy to others, and experience this amazing journey. God has blessed my SO much and I couldn't be more grateful for my sweet fuzzballs.
I would like to thank, Holly Wisnew from Holly's Hollands Rabbitry for mentoring me and helping me get through the tough spots and her support, Mrs. Holly Shafer for her support and advice, Lucy Denham for her business skills and designing tactics, and My mom for supporting me, researching, and being my silent partner. Thank you guys!!
My bunny roller coaster- Finding my baby I've always loved animals and have always had at least one pet. But I didn't get really get into bunnies until I was 11. My first bunny, Sophia, I bought from a petting zoo, when I was... 7. Yea... It wasn't the best decision. Don't buy a bunny from a petting zoo kids. Long story short, we had her for about a day. She was let's just say... not the best bunny for young kids. I didn't get back into bunnies until 2014. I got a Mini Rex named Butterscotch, from a breeder on Bainbridge island where we also bought a satin angora and one more mini rex. Butterscotch turned out to be a slightly hyper and a bit aggressive bunny. At that point, being so new to this, I had no idea how to deal with it. I had fallen in love with my sister's Satin Angora so, I asked the breeder if maybe I could bring Butterscotch back and buy a Satin instead. Sure enough, she let me bring home a stunning, lovable doe named Isabeaux. I loved her dearly. But, A few months later, she started fighting our other Angora and (We housed them together... Yea, I was not very educated on rabbits at that point. BAD idea.) I had to re-home her assuming it was best. Thankfully, I found a great new home for her. I realized OBVIOUSLY I had some learning to do. I wasn't sure what type of bunny to go with once sweet Izzy was gone, so I did some research. And not long after that is when I brought home my precious Holland Lop, Lucy. She is the best and sweetest bunny I ever could have asked for. It all happened for a reason, and that reason was worth it. It was a roller coaster but I finally found my baby! She inspired me to go further with my new love for Hollands. Now, I've been so blessed to add more sweeties to my Lop family! Here I am starting a bunny business! I can't wait to see how this dream unfolds and what new furry friends will arrive on the scene!
